To Our Deaf Artists!

A chance to partner with Mentoring Artists For Women’s Art (MAWA) has come up for ASL Interpreted Arts programming.

We are looking for feedback from the Deaf Community or anyone who has an interest in the Deaf Community and Arts.

What would you like us to offer for programming? What would you like to go to see and learn about? What events would you like to go to?

Opportunity to attend:

*MAWA 5 artist-in-residence artist talks

*MAWA Artist Bootcamp series: (professional practices workshops on How to Build your Own Website, Grantwriting, How to Price your Artwork, How an Arts Council Jury Works and Taxes for Artists)

*MAWA’s First Fridays lectures

*MAWA’s Spring 3-part workshop on watercolour

*MAWA’s crafts Programs- most accessible - not academic

*MAWA has a bandolier bag workshop in Nov.-Dec. in partnership with the Manitoba Museum that includes access to their historical collection.

*MAWA has shorter winter (single afternoon) workshops on different topics/techniques.

*MAWA can offer a dedicated Mini-Mentorship with ASL interpretation for our MCDS members on a mutually agreeable topic (not open to hearing artists)

Any other ideas or topics you want to learn about?

You need to be a MCSD member to attend.
